With over 9,000 staff worldwide, staff recruitment is a major task for the company’s HR team. Case study exercises that test candidates’ knowledge and skills in key areas are one tool the company use in recruitment. Auk took on the task of editing standard business case studies down from twenty to four pages; ensuring they were suitable for a ninety minute exercise.
The case studies were heavily business and finance focussed and contained a great deal of detail. Auk focussed on making these as quickly understandable as possible so that candidates could concentrate on the exercise without losing any key information. Doing so required full understanding the topics in hand, research beyond the scope of the case studies and an ability to identify pertinent information and bring that to the fore.
